The stage gate is the initial gate when entering the tamansari courtyard. It is called the stage gate because the top is like an open stage that can be used to enjoy the surrounding area, there are stairs to get to the top of this gate.

Gedong sekawan is a pyramid-shaped building which is a courtyard for the resting of the King's daughters and a place to learn about the life of a palace princess who is visiting Pesanggrahan Tamansari.

This complex used to function as a private bathing place for the Sultan and the empresses and princesses of the palace. Within this area there are three main pools arranged lengthwise from north to south, each equipped with mushroom-shaped showers.

This was the main gate of the Tamansari complex in the past. The gate is decorated with reliefs of birds and flowers that symbolize the sengkalan “Lajering Kembang Sinesep Peksi,” marking the year of the Tamansari's construction, 1765 AD. Behind the gate is a staircase that leads to the courtyard above the gedhong. From this courtyard you can see the view below the gate.

Ledhoksari is an estate used as the Sultan's resting place. The building has a U-shape and is decorated with typical European-style ornaments. Inside is the Sultan's bed, with a water channel flowing underneath, creating a cool and calm atmosphere.

Pulo Kenanga serves as the King's resting place in the middle of Segaran or the artificial lake of Pesanggrahan-Pesanggrahan Keraton Yogyakarta. The building in Pulo Kenanga is a two-story building with very thick walls. The thickness of the wall is due to the support of the construction above it in addition to the room divider itself.
