Citrakandha Uyon-Uyon Hadiluhung

Golek Layung Seta is one of the Yogyakarta-style golek dances created around 1906, almost simultaneously with Golek Gambir Sawit and Golek Kutut Manggung. This dance was created at Ndalem Wirogunan by KRT. Wiraguna, the son of KGPA. Mangkubumi. Originally, Golek Layung Seta was performed by a sindhen who was also a skilled dancer.

This dance depicts the behavior of a woman primping with a joyful heart as she is intoxicated by love. The uniqueness of Golek Layung Seta lies in the use of the nggrudha movement sequence, which always precedes the main sequence of the dance, making it a distinctive feature that sets it apart from other Golek dances.

At the Uyon-Uyon Hadiluhung event commemorating the birthday of His Majesty Sri Sultan Hamengku Bawono X, the Golek Layung Seta dance will be performed by five dancers wearing gladhen costumes on:
