After successfully holding the Civilisation Traces Seminar in 2024, this year the Yogyakarta Palace is once again holding a similar event with the theme ‘Resilience of Yogyakarta's Cultural Heritage in an Era of Disruption’.
Through this seminar, topics related to cultural resilience in Yogyakarta will be presented from the perspective of best practices, particularly cultural aspects that grew and developed during the reign of Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono VIII.
Held at Morazen Yogyakarta, the Civilisation Traces Seminar entitled “Cultural Resilience in the Era of Disruption” will take place on 6 December 2025.
The seminar will be divided into four different sessions, namely:
Session 1: Jamu and Jampi: Modern Holistic Health
Session 2: Silver and the Growth of Modern Jewellery
Session 3: Visual Culture and Creative Applications
Session 4: Encountering Rijsttafel
