Itinerary
Activity 1 - Kagungan Dalem Wahanarata
Start the journey from the Palace Carriage Museum (Wahanarata), where the Sultan's historical collection of carriages is kept. Here, visitors can see first-hand the royal carriages that were used for various important events, from carnival to state ceremonies.
Activity 2 - Kagungan Dalem Kedhaton
The journey continues to Kagungan Dalem Kedhaton, the center of the Yogyakarta Palace where cultural and spiritual values are still closely guarded. You will see the main buildings such as Bangsal Kencana, where official events take place, as well as witness the collection of heirlooms, gamelan, and royal lineage paintings.
Activity 3 - Kagungan Dalem Tamansari
End your tour with a stroll through Kagungan Dalem Tamansari, a water park that was once the retreat of the Sultan and the royal family. Known as the “Water Palace”, Tamansari features unique architecture with a blend of Javanese, Portuguese and Dutch elements. Explore the beautiful ponds, and exotic buildings that hold stories of the past.
